Full Job Description

Draws or modifies existing patterns to adapt them to customer measurements; Measure using the tailor's tape measure and record customer sizes; Places the article of clothing on the client and marks the areas that require alterations; Alters clothing, sews components, using needle and thread or sewing machine; Assembles garments using appropriate tools; Advises the client on the type of material required for tailoring, respectively on the style of clothing desired; Press the articles of clothing using the hand iron or ironing machines; Create, adapt or copy the design for the articles of clothing; Align the patterns on the material and cut the material with scissors, according to the specified measurements; Sew buttons, buttonholes and buttonholes, zippers, to finish garments; Seam the edges of each piece to be assembled; Package the finished product to the required standards
