1.1. The routes to be performed are accurately identified by analyzing the technical documentation (work monograph). 
1.2. The identified work front is analyzed together with the work team, to determine the specific tasks. 1.3. Potential risks are identified with responsibility in order to take measures to minimize them during the operation of the machine. 
1.4. High risk materials are identified responsibly. 
1.5. Special cases that require guidance during exploitation are carefully determined within the work team. 
2. Prepare the machine for excavation. 
2.1. The movement of the excavator in the work front is done by carefully executing the commands, according to the work procedures. 
2.2. Positioning the excavator is done with its correct insurance, in order to detach the material in optimal conditions. 
2.3. Checking the clearance of obstacles of the vehicle platform is done carefully, in order to make progress in the work front. 
2.4. The information regarding ensuring the safe conditions of the excavation are analyzed carefully. 
3. Performs the operation of excavating the layers 
3.1. The handling of the bucket wheel is done according to the specific loading rules. 
3.2. The handling of the wheel arm is done in accordance with the technical book of the machine, respecting the maximum height and minimum depth limits. 
3.3. The excavation speed is adapted to the restrictions imposed by the type of rock, the morphology, the shape, and the nature of the deposit to be exploited. 
3.4. Specific acoustic and optical warning signals are emitted throughout the excavation. 
3.5. The bucket wheel is correctly positioned in the safest position for unloading the excavated material. 
3.6. The unloading of the material is supervised to take place in conditions of maximum safety and security, both for the machine and for the teammates.
